Premier League: Go home, You're drunk.

Premier League: Go Home, You're Drunk.

If you are someone who has been keeping up with the Premier League's 2020-'21 campaign, you're probably wondering what the (insert *bleep* here) is going on?! With four matches played so far this season for most clubs (both Manchester clubs, Burnley and Aston Villa have played three), the league table is surprising at the least.

After a quick glance, most Premier League fans would rub their eyes and take another look. As it stands, A Liverpool side sits in first - and it's not the one you'd think it to be. Everton, yes Everton, sit at the top of the table.

Everton have got off to a cracking start by winning four of four, the only team in the league to do so. The Toffees have outscored their opponents 11-4 thanks to reborn signing James Rodriguez and red hot Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has raked in has six goals in those four games.

Aston Villa, the team who missed the bottom three last season by one point and were literally saved from relegation by a malfunction in goal-line technology, sits in second place - and they have played one less game than 15 teams behind them. Their spot in second place comes off the back of a SEVEN to TWO win against REIGNING CHAMPIONS LIVERPOOL on Sunday.

The great Virgil Van Dijk was great at about nothing on Sunday, when Jack Grealish sprinkled two goals and three assists into the stat sheet. Ollie Watkins, Villa's new striker who signed from Championship side Brentford this summer, also played a big role in embarrassing Klopp's men with his first Premier League hat trick.

Liverpool weren't the only team to take a fat L this weekend, with Manchester United losing 6-1 to Tottenham at home. Penchester United went up 1-0 in just the second minute thanks to - you guessed it - a Bruno Fernandes penalty. Spurs' Ndombele quickly grabbed one back in the 4' minute and Son Heung-Min put them in the lead just three minutes later. The wheels really fell off Ole's bus when Anthony Martial received a straight red for an elbow to Erik Lamela's face, and Spurs added four more before the final whistle.

United's incompetent owner Ed Woodward and not so much a savior manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must be glad that the Premier League still hasn't allowed fans into the stadium, due to the earful they would have received from the United fans after this embarrassing defeat.

Although it is very early on and the big teams will most likely move up and the smaller clubs' winning runs will come to a close, this Premier League season has been nothing less than exciting to watch so far, and I expect the excitement to continue until the last weekend.
