QB Trevor Lawrence Needs to Stay for Senior Season, Skip Draft

Whoever holds the first pick of the 2021 draft will have the opportunity to draft one of the best prospects in years, Trevor Lawrence. That's if he decided to declare for the draft, and right now it's all a mystery. So far, the lucky team seems to be the New York Jets, but does Lawrence really want to play for a team as dysfunctional as them? Head coach Adam Gase doesn't seem like he's got a grip on what "winning" is, as he's never had a winning season as a head coach.

Trevor Lawrence needs to do himself a favor, stay for his senior year. Finish college. Even if there are the thoughts of injuries, that's going to be a chance no matter where and when you play. Clemson seems like a much better option to play, and win, than the New York Jets. Sorry Darnold. As decent as a QB he is, nobody can thrive under Gase. He's the modern day Jeff Fisher. Should Gase really even have a head coaching job after he allowed one of his assistant coaches to snort cocaine before a meeting? Really Gase? Really?

The entire sports world is looking forward to what the standout QB can do in the pros, but they may have to wait another year. If the Jets have the number 1 overall pick, Lawrence needs to stay at Clemson. If it's anyone else, go for it. Skip the senior season, he's proven he can play at an elite level, let's see what he can do for an NFL team other than the dysfunctional Jets.
