Are the Dolphins Legit?
The Dolphins caused a lot of controversy when they selected to draft Tua Tagovailoa after his major injury in college. The Dolphins finished last year at 5-11 and it looked like that the Brian Flores project might be a fluke. But, as we look at the way the season has gone for the Dolphins that might not be the case.
It looked that Ryan Fitzpatrick was doing the job at quarterback for the Dolphins, but they decided to start rookie Tua Tagovailoa. It was a question if coach Brian Flores was capable of taking over this young roster, and when he made the decision to start the future quarterback it made it even more skeptical. Fitzpatrick was doing the job, he was winning games and being efficient, but was Brian Flores forced to make the transition to Tua? If the Dolphins were winning, then why would they want a change? Is that because it finally looks like they might have a chance in the future.
The defense in Miami is causing some noise in the league and they seem to be a defense that is legit. The past two weeks they have had a touchdown and at least 2 turnovers. The team has seemed to come together and buy into Brian Flores' methods. When he came in the organization decided to flip its roster. They got rid of long time quarterback Ryan Tannehill and young risings stars Minkah Fitzpatrick and Kenyan Drake. It looks like the young talent they have put together is paying off as they sit at 6-3 and come off some big wins against tough opponents and are making a case that they are legit.
