Where Will Trevor Bauer Land?

    Trevor Bauer is coming off of the 2020 season with many decisions to make. It is nice that he just snagged that National League Cy Young award because now he is worth a lot more. Bauer is such a unique player with his off field controversies and it makes it interesting where he will land. There have been a lot of questions on whether he is chasing the money or the trophy. 

    There seem to be 9 likely suitors who will be able to land Bauer. The Reds have came out and already said they will do "everything we can" to keep him in Cincinnati. With half of the Yankees starting rotation electing free agency it is possible we see Cashman make a move for Bauer. The Yankees have the money for him and they are serious contenders for the World Series. There have been a lot of talk about contention teams putting in some effort to get him like the Twins, White Sox, Angels, and the Cubs. There have been some rebuild teams that might get him with the Mets, Red Sox and the Giants. I am a Padres fan and we hope we can get him to help our rising team become legit. He already has that connection with Mike Clevinger due to their time in Cleveland together. Also, Bauer went to UCLA, so he has a past out in California. It seems like it could happen, but we just have to wait and see with the rest of the baseball world.

    It will be interesting to see where he lands as no one can pick a favorite for Bauer. He has taken to social media and messed around with fans. He seems to tease fans of specific teams hinting that he will go there. It has caused a lot of humor among Twitter. No one can realize if he is serious or not. General Managers are going to be working hard along side Bauer's agent to get this former CY Young arm.
