Steelers Get Screwed: Pt. 2...4...7?

Well, the NFL has made it abundantly clear that they are willing to accommodate Jim Harbaugh and the Ravens in any way they can to give them some kind of advantage against the Steelers.

Yesterday afternoon, the NFL announced that they'll be postponing the Thanksgiving-scheduled Ravens/Steelers matchup yet again; now pushed to Wednesday, December 2 at 3:40 p.m.

Yeah, 3:40 in the afternoon.

Not many words can explain how truly fed up I am with Roger Goodell at the moment.

I mean, c'mon. The NFL laid out plenty of rules at the beginning of the season about the upcoming COVID policies and consequences for violating them. Consequences like major fines and lost draft picks. That's exactly what they just levied against the New Orleans Saints a few days ago. The organization was fined $500,000 and lost a 7th-round draft pick over a video of the team celebrating in their locker room after a game and no one was wearing masks. The COVID outbreak within the Ravens stemmed from a direct violation from a member of their personnel.

It wasn't an isolated incident. It wasn't a chance oversight. It was a deliberate infraction that the Ravens organization needs to be penalized for. Instead, the NFL is letting John Harbaugh play them like a fiddle, catering to their every request, while the Steelers are the ones paying the price. If Wednesday's game is played, the 10-0 Steelers will end up having to play their next 3 games all in 12 days.

Meanwhile, Baltimore running backs JK Dobbins and Mark Ingram will CONVENIENTLY be cleared to play for Wednesday's game, having served the 10-day quarantine requirement.

Honestly though, the team I really feel bad for is the Denver Broncos.

With all three of their core quarterbacks ineligible to play due to their status on the COVID/Reserve list, they were forced to activate a WR off of their PRACTICE SQUAD to play QB last Sunday. But did the NFL consider pushing this game back? Of COURSE not! As a matter of fact, the actually denied the Broncos request to activate a member of their coaching staff to fill the QB position for that one game.

But God forbid Lamar Jackson can't play and the Ravens are forced to face Pittsburgh's defense with RGIII at quarterback. Clearly that'd be too much to ask of the #DirtyBirds
